Study of a mixture of Glycol Ester (Polyethylene Glycol Ester)
Ethoxylated Fatty Acids, also called Polyethylene Glycol Ester (Ethoxylated Fatty Acid) are surfactants belonging to the family of nonionic surfactants.
Their analysis by UPLC/TOF-MS revealed a characteristic distribution.
Distribution: The study of a mixture of Polyethylene Glycol Ester reveals the following distributions:
Linoleate R = C18:2 with n=7 to 11
Palmitate R =C16:0 with n=8 to 12
Oleate R = C18:1 with n=6 to 15
Oleate/Linoleate R1=C18:1 / R2 = C18:1 with n= 6 to 9
DiOleate R1=R2=C18:1 with n= 4 to 13
...
=> The main compounds are Ethoxylated DiOleates eg CAS [9005-07-6], centered around n=8.
