Polyurethane adhesives (PU or PUr) are adhesives based on polymers and various additives. They are often used as two-component adhesives (2K) but also exist in one-component (1K). They are found in cartridge sealant, emulsion, solution, and hotmelts.
Hot-melt polyurethanes are adhesives based on thermoplastic polymers.
PU adhesives are suitable for a wide range of materials and applications and are particularly suitable for combined bonding, i.e. bonding between different materials.
It is possible to perform structural analyzes by Pyrolysis/GCMS and IRTF to study the nature of the polymer matrix.
