Study of a mixture of Glycol Ester (Polyethylene Glycol Ester)

Ethoxylated Fatty Acids, also called Polyethylene Glycol Ester (Ethoxylated Fatty Acid) are surfactants belonging to the family of nonionic surfactants.
Their analysis by UPLC/TOF-MS revealed a characteristic distribution.

Distribution: The study of a mixture of Polyethylene Glycol Ester reveals the following distributions:

PERKIN ELMER ALTUS A30 – AXION 2 TOF

  • Linoleate R = C18:2 with n=7 to 11
  • Palmitate R =C16:0 with n=8 to 12
  • Oleate R = C18:1 with n=6 to 15
  • Oleate/Linoleate R1=C18:1
    / R2 = C18:1 with n= 6 to 9
  • DiOleate R1=R2=C18:1 with n= 4 to 13
